Trish Sisson
Versatility and a unique style best describe Trish Sisson as a vocalist and performing artist. Her repertoire of over 500 songs includes jazz standards, Broadway show tunes, classic rock, R&B and contemporary pop and country.
Trish is comfortable performing in any venue -be it the intimate setting of a small club where she is at once in sync with her audience, or on a large stage complemented by a full orchestra.
She has shared the stage with many well-known artists including Barry Gibb, Gloria Estefan and Freddie Hubbard and has served as opening act for Don Rickles, Bob Newhart, Loretta Lynn and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
Trish has recorded several original songs and is currently in the studio at work on a new CD. One song in particular, Have A Heart, which she and her father developed together, has been used repeatedly by nationally known non-profit organizations in appeals for financial support, including AIDS Walk Miami, Children’s Cancer Caring Center, Hurricane Andrew Relief Fund, Inner City Children’s Dance Theater, and ARC Minnesota.
It was during a touring engagement in New York that Trish met Brazilian Jazz artist Tania Maria. Tania commissioned Trish to compose several song lyrics for her album “The Lady from Brazil.” The album produced in 1986 continues to sell to jazz enthusiasts in the US, South America and Europe.
Trish’s love of musical theatre prompted her to join several production companies where she starred in shows in Atlantic City, New York, San Diego, Philadelphia, and on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast.
Marriage followed by motherhood brought Trish to Minneapolis where she and her husband, Peter Brooks and their toddler son, Jay, make their home. Trish and Peter, himself an established electric and string bassist and vocalist formed their own group TNSD (Trish and the North Shore Drive) - a six-piece ensemble that performs primarily at private functions and corporate events.
Trish also plays engagements with a variety of well-known Twin Cities’ orchestras and bands. Corporate clients such as Target, 3M, and the Minnesota Visiting Nurse Association have enthusiastically received her cabaret show. She also records jingles and commercial voiceovers.
Trish is currently accepting engagement dates as a lead vocalist.
